Compass Drifter 466 Merit 6 Berth Motorhome 2.5TD 1991(J)reg Fiat Ducato XLWB

When released this was the flagship model Al-Ko Kober-based six-berth. Its mega 6.83m (22ft 5in) length allows room for a double Pullman dinette to be included behind the driver. Built on a Extra Long Wheel Base (XLWB) chassis when this 466 model with U Shaped rear lounge was released demand outstripped supply such was it's popularity!

2.5TD engine with 5 speed gearbox. 114410 miles.

6 Berth: Sleeps 2 on the bed above cab (very large space), 2 on the double dinette that turns into a bed, and a further two on the enormous bed that is created from the U shaped lounge seating.

Great specification to include: Truma Ultraheat, Gas blown air heating, gas cooker, 4 ring gas hob, LPG gas system that runs all gas appliances (so no gas bottles required!) Bound to be something I've forgot, the list is endless!!

You will notice that the the fabric colour scheme throughout the entire motorhome is a little 'unusual' to say the least! Now admittedly this may not be to everyones taste, however I can say that the material is the same as used in a certain bus company (as this owner was connected to the bus company) and is super heavy duty and very comfortable and extremely hard wearing so the chances of it wearing out are very slim! The reupholstery job has been carried out to an extraordinarily high standard, must have cost the owner a kings ransom!

As you can see from the images this is a nice tidy old motorhome, however let's not forget that this vehicle is over 26 years of age, therefore you have to appreciate that there is wear and tear (except on the seating of course!) commensurate with a 26yr old vehicle. The original compass decals are understandibly faded in places, outer door missing on cooker. It has a current MOT until October although if we get asking price or near to asking we are more than happy to have a new MOT carried out by our workshop. This Compass came in part exchange at a very large motorhome dealer that we buy stock from, and to be frank, it is older than what we would normally sell, however we always try and help this dealer out by buying their part exchanges and as this was a nice tidy 6 berth Flagship Compass model we thought we would have a go at retailing it.
