1997 Mazda Bongo 2.5 TD 2WD Camper Van 4 Berth Black - Great Value - VERY tidy

This Bongo has just come to us in part exchange against one of our retail motorhomes. The paintwork is in excellent condition considering it's age and the fact that normally Bongo's of this vintage have a certain level of corrosion around the arches, if you visit the HD image gallery above you will see images of all 4 arches, absolutely beautiful!!

4 Berth: Sleeps 2 on the seat that turns into a double and also 2 up high in the roof space.

Specification to include: 240v hook up, Fiamma awning, tow bar with twin electrics, rotating front seats (in a Bongo, I'm impressed!),12v leisure battery, 12v lighting, twin gas hob, stainless steel sink with cold water tap, privacy glass, Air conditioning (in front), electric windows, upgraded 17in alloys.

OK so the conversion in the rear isn't the best one we have ever seen, however it's not the worst either. It's basic but has everything you need to go and enjoy the great outdoors!

MOT expires April 2020. Once sold we will have the workshop we use carry out an engine oil service and a full check over to ensure it spot on for the next owner. Even though this is a Part Ex to clear van we will still get the workshop to check everything over.

Looks and drives well but PLEASE let's not forget the fact that this is a 22yr old Mazda so of course it is not a new van and has age related wear and tear commensurate with age and mileage. Can't remember the last time I've seen this age of Bongo in this condition though, certainly without doubt in above average condition. Has covered 129k miles and drives absolutely spot on with no clunks or rattles. Last owner informed us that a previous owner had a new cylinder head/head gasket etc fitted during his ownership (no surprise there then given it's a Bongo!) however there isn't any paperwork to back this up. Last owner spent a small fortune on the wheels (with lovely tyres fitted all round!) and anything else that was required.

This Mazda Bongo comes with a comprehensive 4 page report from Motor Check to confirm that it has no hidden stories (no finance, verified mileage history etc etc). The vehicle did have an insurance claim on it over 10 years ago in January 2009 but don't let that deter you as this is a lovely Bongo and great value for money at £5995 as we would normally retail a 1997 Bongo in this condition for £7995. No obvious signs of why it had a claim so more than likely something minor/cosmetic but as a dealer we are obliged to point this out to any prospective buyer of the vehicle.

Part Exchange
In most instances we would be very enthusiastic to take your current camper van or motorhome in part exchange against this vehicle. Or we will also consider your car, commercial van, or horsebox/horse trailer. Payment
You can RESERVE this vehicle with ONLY a £500 deposit payable by credit/debit card, bank transfer or cash. If you are reserving over the phone or by email a sales invoice would be emailed to you along with a secure card payment link and our company bank info. The balance wherever possible would need to be paid by bank transfer on collection/delivery. While we are unable to accept full payment for a vehicle by credit card, on most vehicles we may consider accepting part of the payment by credit card if it helps. The same applies for cash payments, we can accept some of the payment in cash but not the full amount due to bank charges and regulations etc.

Workshop
The workshop we use is called MJ Watts Motor Engineers and they have been in business since the 1970's and have an outstanding reputation. You would receive a copy of the invoice we get from them showing in great detail the work they have carried out on the vehicle.

Warranty
For your peace of mind we give a 3 month comprehensive Nationwide warranty on all of our camper vans/motorhomes. While every precaution is taken to ensure the vehicle is free of faults upon delivery/collection now and again things can and do go wrong and when they do we will assist you to have the problem fixed. We would work with a local repairer to yourselves to have any work completed.

Delivery
On our retail Camper/Motorhome vehicles we can normally offer you FREE NATIONWIDE DELIVERY, however this would be on a case by case basis as it will depend on your location, the price of the vehicle, and the margin we have in the vehicle. Please get in touch with your postcode and we can let you know about delivery.

Collection
You are of course most welcome to come to us to collect. If you prefer to come by train or plane to collect your new camper/motorhome in Lincolnshire then one of us can come and pick you up from Grimsby Town or Market Rasen Train stations, or from Humberside airport.

Viewings
Please be aware that all viewings are by pre arranged appointment only. We work from home in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and do not have set opening hours unlike traditional high street showrooms, therefore if you were to turn up and we didn't know that you were coming, then there is a distinct possibility that Darren who handles all of the sales enquiries may not be on site to see you.

Viewings can be arranged 6 days a week Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9.00am and 7.00pm. Please note we do not offer viewings on a Sunday or a Bank Holiday, however you would still normally receive a reply to your enquiry at some point on these days.
