1999 Mazda Bongo 2.5 V6 Automatic Imperial Lulworth Conversion Camper Van

This Bongo came in part exchange at a massive dealer group (turnover of £120M) who we buy stock from. We had it transported over 250 miles back to our base and when we inspected the van we decided that it fell short of the standard that we normally retail, and rather than throw good money at it we would let it go at cost price (so trade price!) to someone who can have the required work carried out at a much more reasonable cost.

Starts and drives fine HOWEVER we have detected a slight 'tapping/knocking' noise from the engine, it seems to go off when you rev the engine above 4000RPM, no smoke and doesn't overheat. The paintwork is not perfect (see the image gallery above for close up shots of paintwork) and a previous owner has had a go at painting the rear arches themselves with an aerosol, few marks here and there, still a very presentable Bongo though and that Lulworth conversion is fabulous!

2 Berth: Sleeps 2 on the rear seat that goes flat and there are boards/cushions to extend the bed around the unit to make an unusual shaped double. Also 2 further people can sleep in the roof space.

REMEMBER this Imperial Camper is being sold CHEAP as it needs work. We paid £4500 ourselves then £340 for transport so at £4995 by the time we take into consideration advertising/cleaning we are about breaking even.

If we don't get £4995 then we will put it through the paintshop/workshop and retail it at £8995. You are advised to trailer the camper away and not drive it away due to the intermittent engine noise.

Part Exchange
In most instances we would be very enthusiastic to take your current camper van or motorhome in part exchange against this vehicle. Payment
You can RESERVE this vehicle with ONLY a £500 deposit payable by credit/debit card, bank transfer or cash. If you are reserving over the phone or by email a sales invoice would be emailed to you along with a secure card payment link and our company bank info. The balance wherever possible would need to be paid by bank transfer on collection/delivery. While we are unable to accept full payment for a vehicle by credit card, on most vehicles we may consider accepting part of the payment by credit card if it helps. The same applies for cash payments, we can accept some of the payment in cash but not the full amount due to bank charges and regulations etc.

Workshop
The workshop we use is called MJ Watts Motor Engineers and they have been in business since the 1970's and have an outstanding reputation. You would receive a copy of the invoice we get from them showing in great detail the work they have carried out on the vehicle.

Warranty
This van is being sold as 'spares or repairs' due to it needing work, our usual warranty that applies to all retail vehicles will not apply in this case sorry.

Delivery
Not available on this clearance vehicle sorry.

Collection
You are of course most welcome to come to us to collect. If you prefer to come by train or plane to collect your new camper/motorhome in Lincolnshire then one of us can come and pick you up from Grimsby Town or Market Rasen Train stations, or from Humberside airport.

Viewings
Please be aware that all viewings are by pre arranged appointment only. We work from home in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and do not have set opening hours unlike traditional high street showrooms, therefore if you were to turn up and we didn't know that you were coming, then there is a distinct possibility that Darren who handles all of the sales enquiries may not be on site to see you.

Viewings can be arranged 6 days a week Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9.00am and 7.00pm. Please note we do not offer viewings on a Sunday or a Bank Holiday, however you would still normally receive a reply to your enquiry at some point on these days..
