Compass Calypso Motorhome 2 Berth 2.0 Petrol/LPG 1991 Talbot Express Camper Van

Only 69181 miles from new backed up with VOSA MOT/mileage history. Owned by the same lovely couple for the last 4 years and has just been traded into us against a newer motorhome. Normally we don't sell campers/motorhomes of this age however it is in such good condition we decided to retail it.

The last owner made some tasteful seat covers to go over the original cushions (please see images) if these are not to your taste then they can easily be removed as the original Compass Calypso fabrics are in lovely condition.

Specification to include: Gas blown air heating/hot water system, Electrolux 3 way fridge, gas 4 ring hob and grill, gas grill, on board fresh water tank, sink with hot/cold water mixer tap and drainer, leisure battery/mains 240v charging system, double glazed windows with fly screens and blinds/curtains, loads of storage space, rooflight, 12v lighting, removable table, roof bars, rear ladder, reversing camera, Sony CD player, grey leather captains front seats.

Road Tax per year: £255.00

You can run the motorhome on petrol or LPG as it has an LPG system fitted, however as LPG is around half the price of unleaded petrol you would more than likely end up getting the equivalent of 40+ MPG if running on LPG (based on the fact if you spent the same amount of money on petrol or LPG you would end up with twice as many miles out of the LPG, hope this makes sense!)

Has only recently been MOT'd by the last owner and it expires 18th September 2019. There was just one advisory on the MOT (exhaust had a hole which has now had some putty put on) and to be honest we don't mind having our workshop pop a new exhaust box on to make the job right. If you look at the MOT history online it is very impressive for a 27yr old van, can't see any time it has failed on welding or any major failures. While it is in the workshop we will have them carry out an engine oil service (engine oil and filter)

Comes with handbooks, 2 x sets of keys, old MOT's, few bills etc.

As you can see from the images this is a very clean and tidy vehicle, however let's be realistic and not forget the fact that it is 27yrs of age and naturally has wear/tear commensurate with age and mileage, don't get me wrong though, when the customer brought it to us to trade it in against a newer motorhome I was amazed at how nice it was for it's age, definitely not your typical 27yr old van!

NO POWER STEERING. To be honest the steering isn't heavy, it's easy to manoeuvre and the only time you would notice the lack of power steering is if you tried to turn the wheel while standing still because as soon as there is the slightest amount of forward motion the steering doesn't feel heavy at all.

This Compass Calypso comes with a comprehensive 4 page report from Motor Check to confirm that it has no hidden stories (no finance, not an insurance write off, verified mileage history etc etc)
